Announcing...

I don't want to push down all the cute Halloween pics of the boys, but I was starting to feel bad about leaving out my non Facebook friends from our big news. As I'm sure you can guess from the picture, we are indeed expecting Baby #3 to join us in early May. We are thrilled... although still a little sick and a lot tired. We (okay, mostly just me) are happy to accept any girl vibes you want to send our way. Of course I will be happy either way, but a little hoping never hurt, right?

Trunk or Treat!

We had a great time at "Trunk or Treat" last night! The boys couldn't wait to get their costumes on (and get candy, of course)...

They were pretty patient waiting for everyone to get there (as long as they could sneak some of the candy we brought in the meantime)...
I didn't think I was going to dress up at first, but then I found a fabulous witch hat on sale. I wasn't the only one feeling a little witchy I guess...
Cousin Luke didn't disappoint with his very original and super cute costume...
And the "other" Hafens were quite the hit on Dan's motorcycle...
Too bad Dan already took his mullet wig off at this point :(

I was sure the kids were going to be sick last night from all the candy they scarfed down, but we somehow dodged that bullet. The best news of all though is that there's still plenty of candy left over for them to share with me!

Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around to carving our pumpkins for FHE last night... We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, as you can see...
I'm sad I didn't get any pics of the kiddos at work. Between the pumpkin guts and all the sharp carving utensils, it was a little crazy while they were "helping". They made their little pumpkins into monsters instead of carving them... much quicker and less dangerous (unless you were in Matt Mo's line of fire when he threw a fit and started chucking the pieces everywhere, but that's another story). Here's the end result...
We've got our "Trunk or Treat" tomorrow night so more fun Halloween pics to come soon!

Pumpkin Time

Well after weeks of being postponed due to rain, today was finally the day Ben's class made it to the pumpkin patch. It would have been crazy muddy otherwise, so I'm glad we waited. We were the first big group to arrive so the animals were very excited to get their breakfast...
The goats were especially excited and if you weren't careful, they'd take your cup and all right out of your hand as Matt Mo found out. Luckily, mom still had her cup to share...
Next up was the hayride - a big hit with everyone...

So much to see on the farm...

Then it was finally "pumpkin time" as Ben calls it. With so many choices, it was hard to narrow it down to just one...Ben found a winner...
We finished the trip off with a snack and a class photo. Aren't they adorable?...
Thanks for such a fun field trip Miss Angela... Ben LOVED it!

My Goofballs...

What happens when daddy's in charge of getting jammies on, you ask?...
Steve Erkle alert! Ben thinks it's hilarious...not sure if he'll still think that when he sees these 10 years from now, but oh well...
Another one of Ben's favorites lately...
It's like those old couch cushions were made for surfing the stairs!

Not much else to report on as of yet. Ben wakes up every morning asking if it's "pumpkin time" so hopefully we'll be able to make it to the pumpkin patch very soon... dang rain. Hope you're all having a happy (and less wet) fall!
